"The future, Madame, is something we should have started on long ago."

I just saw the Criterion Collection edition of the Georges Franju 1959 classic Eyes Without a Face (Les Yeux Sans Visage). I really enjoyed it; it was like The Silence of the Lambs meets The Swan.
The film was originally released in America as a dubbed version called The Horror Chamber of Doctor Faustus as a double feature with The Manster (not to be confused with Manimal), a supercheesy-looking movie about a half-man, half-monster which really just consisted of a guy in bad makeup with a weird secondary shriveled head awkwardly perched on his shoulder.
